After a long drive, stepping into the Castle was a welcome respite. As a proud local of Shropshire, I was delighted to hear that the historic property had been saved from inappropriate development by a thoughtful farmer. the warm ambiance of the bar immediately put me at ease, and the staff's attentive service only added to the experience. As I settled in, the chef whipped up some tasty nibbles to tide us over until our main course arrived. the menu boasted a range of British favorites, including the classic gammon and eggs and a homemade lasagne. I appreciated the focus on using local produce, knowing that each bite was a true taste of Shropshire. One of the highlights of my visit was enjoying the Spring and Summer sunshine in the lovely beer garden with friends and family. the views over the Shropshire countryside were simply breathtaking, making our dining experience truly memorable. Overall, the Castle's on-site restaurant exceeded my expectations. the breakfast was delicious, and the proximity to other nearby dining options only added to the convenience of the location.
